Tiger Lily Press (TLP) is a non-profit, all volunteer-run printmaking studio located in the Dunham Recreation Center in West Price Hill. Its mission is to produce, preserve and promote the art of printmaking in the Cincinnati area. The studio maintains press facilities for etching, non-traditional lithography, letterpress, and screen printing. Established in 1978, Tiger Lily Press provides the community with “a place to print” for emerging and professional artists. For more information about TLP go to / IG@tigerlilypress

The title of the exhibition refers to the printmaking term “artist’s proof (A.P.)” which is an impression of a
print taken in the printmaking process to see the current printing state of a plate while the plate is being
worked on by the artist.

Participating TLP artists include (as of press time, subject to change): Jennifer Baldwin, Stephanie Berrie, Beth Brann, Danny Byron, Fred Daniell, Joan Effertz, Louann Elliott, Rick Finn, Maureen George, Dawn Grayford, Andrew Hahn, Anne-Marie Herrera, William Magness, Alex McClay, Kat McGee, Ashley McGrath, Nikki Orlemann, Kathleen Piercefield, Jonpaul Smith, Blanche Pringle Smith, Vanessa Sorensen, Diane Stemper, Jan Thomas, Adrian Tio, Cecelia Tio, Nancy Turner, Carole Winters, Mary Woodworth, and Nora Young.

In a long tradition of educating the community, TLP’s Bill Magness collaborated with the Mount St. Joseph University Department of Art & Design to facilitate a workshop with current printmaking students. Mount students were excited to create pieces to be included in the final exhibition display.
