Big Ink Comes to Cincinnati

Large-scale woodblock printmaking event to be hosted by Tiger Lily Press and the Dunham Recreation Center

Tiger Lily Press, Cincinnati’s public fine art printmaking studio, is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as a host for Big Ink. Big Ink is a non-profit arts organization with the mission to teach large-scale woodblock printmaking and promote public awareness of the art form. Facilitators from Big Ink travel around the country with a giant portable printing press, Big Tuna, and print regional artists’ woodblocks during a multi-day event.

The printing event will take place March 26 – 27, 2022, in the Rose Room on the campus of the Dunham Recreation Center in West Price Hill, directly across the parking lot from the Tiger Lily Press studio. The Tiger Lily Press studio will also be open for tours and demonstrations.

In 2019, Tiger Lily Press Members James Billiter, Jonpaul Smith and Vanessa Sorenson participated in a Big Ink event at the Columbus Cultural Art Center, Columbus, Ohio. Read more Vanessa’s experiences on her blog:
