Broadsides: Say It With Letterpress

Using the Vandercook Proof Press, the basics of type set-up and printing will be demonstrated. Participants will learn setting type, spacing, locking up on the press and printing. Participants should design a 9 X 12” broadside (poster) or card with a saying, quote or aphorism to be handset with type and printed. Decorative elements can be incorporated into the layout. Students will print up to ten copies of their broadside.
