An edited version of “Collective Ink” will be on view
in the Vern Riffe Center lobby, first floor,
Friday, March 5 through Wednesday, March 31. 2010
In conjunction with Momentum 2010 Ohio Women’s Summit
and Ohio Women’s History month,
the Riffe Gallery in collaboration with the Massillon Museum
will present an adaptation of the
exhibition Collective Ink, curated by
Massillon Museum Director Christine Shearer
in the Riffe Center Lobby March 5 – 30, 2010.
The exhibition includes work by 20 female printmakers
from four independent Ohio print cooperatives;
Phoenix Rising (Columbus); Tiger Lily Press (Cincinnati);
Dayton Printmakers Cooperative (Dayton) and Zygote Press (Cleveland).
The cooperatives were chosen because of their
independent structure and non-affiliation
with a local college or university. They were independently developed
by artists to fulfill a creative need in their communities
and provide an accessible artistic environment.
The gallery is located in Columbus, Ohio
