Instructor: Kathleen Piercefield
Participants will explore the basics for creating a drypoint on plexiglass by cutting, abrading, scratching, and/or gouging the surface. Drypoint is an intaglio print process similar to etching, but more direct without use of chemicals. A variety of ways to wipe and print the plate to achieve successful prints will be explored. Participants will have an opportunity to manipulate their image including collagraph, monotype, and hand coloring to create a sequence of related but endless varying prints.
