Event will be held in the gymnasium (behind the CRC administration building and across from Tiger Lily Press)

BIG INK is a non-profit arts organization with the mission to teach large-scale woodblock printmaking and promote public awareness of the art form. They travel the country with a giant portable printing press, called Big Tuna, and print selected regional artistsโ€™ large-scale woodblocks during a multi-day event. Lyell Castonguay and Carand Burnet are the cofounders and operators of BIG INK. Castonguay acts as instructor, event coordinator, and web administrator while Burnet acts as social media coordinator and video producer.

On March 26th and 27th from 11:00am – 4:00 pm, BIG INK will be in Cincinnati Ohio. BIG INK and Tiger Lily Press board member Jonpaul Smith coordinated the event. After sorting through many submissions, 20 artists were finally accepted, and their woodblock designs will be printed. This event is open to the public. Join us to see a centuries-old artform in action!
