Tiger Lily Studio Closed Until August 15, 2020

Tiger Lily Press maintains a specialized printmaking studio in the Schoolhouse Building, located in the Cincinnati Recreation Commission’s Dunham Recreation Complex in West Price Hill. The studio and Dunham Recreation Center have been closed since March due to the pandemic.

The Tiger Lily Press Board of Directors met recently to consider new information about re-opening the Tiger Lily Press print studio.

The CRCโ€™s activities take precedence on that property. Various day camps for children begin operating June 8, including a specialized therapeutic camp in the Schoolhouse Building where the print studio is located. The children and staff need exclusive access to the bathrooms and other areas in that building due to COVID 19 guidelines. Therefore, print studio will not reopen until August 15 at the earliest.

In light of these developments, Tiger Lily Press offers membership refunds or the option of extending Artists Memberships through the end of 2021.

Classes and workshops are postponed until further notice. We know that many print shops and arts organizations are offering online classes and workshops. Since we are an all-volunteer shop, we do not have those resources at this time. (Visit the websites of Zea Mays Printmaking, Pyramid Atlantic, Chicago Printmakers Collaborative, and others for online opportunities).

The difficult decision was made to cancel the Tiger Lily Press annual print market, Local Ink, which was scheduled for November 14 at NorthChurch in Northside.

But even though the studio is closed we are working on other projects and considering other options:

We are continuing with the production of the 2022 Tiger Lily Press Calendar.

We hope to catch up soon with our resident artist, Stephanie Berrie.

And plans continue for the Members Exhibition scheduled for February 2021 at Caza Sikes Gallery in Oakley.

Stay tuned and stay creative!
